Book Discussion Focuses on Environment (June 27, 2012)

On June 27, 2012, the American Cultural Center hosted a book discussion about “Environment” by Peter H. Raven. The discussion was led by Mr.  Marcos Wabi from Benin’s Ministry of Environment. 

In her opening remarks, Chargé d’Affaires Susan Tuller explained that environmental issues concern the entire world, and the U.S. Mission will continue to partner with Benin in various initiatives to protect our ecosystem. 

This was also an opportunity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Africa Regional Services. a branch of the Department of State's Bureau of African Affairs that was established in 1962 as a center for cultural and information programs and services in French.
