U.S. Mission Donates Materials to Beninese Army (Oct. 29, 2012)

Ambassador Michael Raynor visited Bembereke Military Academy on Monday, October 29 to donate English learning materials and equipment to strengthen the academy’s HIV/AIDS program. The donation, offered through the International Military Education and Training (IMET) program, is valued at $73,000.  

In his remarks, Ambassador Raynor pledged the U.S. government’s full support to the Beninese army in its mission of national defense and economic and social development. Political & Military Affairs Officer Mackenzie Rowe was also in attendance.
