Dream or Prophecy Speech Contest Final (Feb 03, 2012)

The American Center in Cotonou organized the finals of the "Dream or Prophecy" speech contest on February 3rd, 2012. Eleven college and university students competed in front of an audience of 450 persons. It was an opportunity for the students to share their visions for a new Benin and for the United States of Africa. The contest was executed both in French and in English.

This contest was part of Martin Luther King Day and the Black History Month. It was also initiated in order instigate youth to formulate their own ideas and vision about what kind of future they want to create for themselves and for their country and for Africa.

The activity was also a means to increase the use of the English language and build a strong relationship between young Beninese and the USG.
